Hello hello hello!!

Hello hello hello!!

I just realized, as I was adding updated spooder baby pictures to the website, neither Kristin nor I have been very good at blogging!!!  I do a lot of updates on our socials, as does Kristin, but vow to also update here.

So the first 10 babies we foster raised are almost ready to ship with confidence.  There were the original 10, we each took 5, and now 8 are ready for forever homes.  I knew this would be hard for me to do.  I love each one of the 5 I raised, know their personalities, likes/dislikes and OMG I HAVE TO ADOPT THEM OUT!!!!

Finally getting myself a jumping spider, my thicc girl Cannoli, has literally been one of the greatest things I have done.  My arachnophobia still exists (somewhat), but it is quickly diminishing.  I think it is the whole still unsure of them thing - like one wrong move and I knee jerk react and . . . yeah, I think you know where this is going.  Plus the whole OMG THERE IS AN EIGHT LEGGED SOMETHING TICKLING ME is still active in my brain.  Immersion therapy.  Baby steps lol.

As we hand these babies over to spread the love to other homes, we luckily have 19 more to raise until they are ready for forever homes.  They come to us via Kayos Kreature's on Facebook.  A page I had watched for ages when I was on the periphery of the spooder-ville.  Something about her babies - they are all beautiful.  When I had a chance to spood foster some of her mama's slings, I couldn't resist.  And I have a feeling I will get my first clutch from her.

I am very interested in breeding personally but that is going to take time, skill and knowledge.  I know this and I do not want to cause any of these babies any kind of harm.  When I think of pairing, and the female not liking the male and her attacking . . . I instantly (maybe incorrectly) think dog fight.  I have NO IDEA what to do if two dogs go at it.  Now, a good old fashioned cat fight?  I am shutting that down immediately - no thought, no hesitation, no fear.

I'd like to be there before I start pairing.  Luckily, I have found reputable breeders who successfully pair and have enough clutches that they will sell one so I can have the whole newborn - IT'S 254 BABIES - moment.

Stay tuned . . .  Also, if you have any questions on keeping a spooder, etc., fire away!  I researched for about 3 years before I pulled the trigger, but could have done so sooner.  They are amazing low maintenance, low space occupying little buddies to keep as pets and companions.

Thanks for visiting our site and checking out the babies I know Kristin and I are SO proud of :-)
