Nursery

Welcome to the Tiny Tangle Spooders nursery — this is where you can follow our current clutch as they grow, molt by molt, before they're ready to head to new homes.

Meet the Parents

Mom and Dad belong to The Spood spot (MorphMarket only) — this clutch was produced by their pairing, and we're honored to be raising these babies on to their new homes. Big thanks to The Spood spot for such a gorgeous pair!

The Current Clutch

We're raising 10 Regal Jumping Spiders (Phidippus regius) from this pairing. Six are available right now, one has already gone home with a friend, and two have decided they live here now. Three have already hit I6 and the rest are right behind them, with a real mix of coloring showing up already — some solid black, some with warm reddish-brown or orange banding. Sexing this young is still partly a guess and won't be confirmed for a few more molts. Meet each one below, and follow along on The Spood Journal for molt-by-molt updates.

Taki, a Regal jumping spiderling clinging to a blue enclosure wall
Not available

Taki

Suspected female · I5

Eats like a bird, loves her cozy hammock, and molts on her own schedule, thank you very much. Taki is off the adoption list, but we still love showing off this rare sighting.

Turbo, a Regal jumping spiderling peeking out of a black S-shaped hide
Adopted

Turbo

Suspected male · I5

Turbo has found his forever home with a friend of ours! Curious, brave, and full of energy right up to the day he left — we couldn't be happier for him.

Staying With Us

These two are not going anywhere, but we love showing them off.

Cocoa, a Regal jumping spiderling, upright on the enclosure wall with her reflection beneath her
Staying with us

Cocoa

Female · I5

Cocoa escaped her enclosure, we feared the worst, and then she came back on her own. She has earned a permanent spot here.

Frito, a Regal jumping spiderling standing on a tan hide against a blue background
Staying with us

Frito

Suspected male · I5

Still making up his mind about humans, though he tolerated a few minutes on a hand. He has decided he lives here now.

Availability & Pricing

Onyx, Wisp, Domino, Dorito, Pringle and Cheeto are all available now. Each one ships once they've molted to I6 and had a few days to harden up — that's when they're sturdy enough to travel safely. (Cocoa and Frito are staying with us, Turbo has been adopted, and Taki is not available.) For this first clutch, spiderlings are $35 each, plus overnight shipping (shipping cost is paid by the buyer and varies by destination).
